Point Ruston: A Wonderful Blend of Tacoma’s Old & New
Located in Tacoma’s North End, Point Ruston is one of REALTOR® Morgan Mullin’s favorite spots to hang out: “Old Town keeps true to the quaint originality of Tacoma, and Point Defiance gives the outdoorsy feel with hiking trails, beaches, and of course, [it’s home to] the zoo and yearly Taste of Tacoma. Point Ruston feels like the middle ground that joins everything together, the old and the new.”
A dynamic blend of housing, shopping, dining, and activity, Point Ruston has already become a central hub in the community. “It gives people a place to gather and walk the waterfront,” says Morgan. “[Kids can play] in the fountains, [there are] bike rentals, and [you can] bring the family together to enjoy one of the several restaurants. You can be a part of it all and live in the condos centrally located, or [if you live in North Tacoma,] it’s just a short commute to be among the hustle and bustle that local shops and businesses bring to the area. Also be sure to check out the farmers market when in season (August through September)!”
In addition to the beautiful waterfront setting, apartments and condos, there’s a wide variety of shops, eateries, and entertainment options to explore. Wild Fin, Farrelli’s Pizza (kids eat free on Mondays!), Fish Brewing (they have a great happy hour!), Jewel Box Cafe, Stack 571, Two Town Pub, Mio Sushi, Ice Cream Social, Century Theaters, and several shops are all in the mix.
“I love the feel of being close to everything and being able to be a part of local events, [all] without [it] being overwhelming and keeping true to the Tacoma vibes.” Plus, Morgan points out that there’s more to come! Condos are still being built, giving you the opportunity to live at this up-and-coming location.
